Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager Insurance Accounting Management / Operational Reporting
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and guide the team ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies.
Data Collection & Validation (Management/Operational Reporting): Assist in gathering validating and organizing operational and financial data for reportingcovering premiums claims reserves reinsurance policy counts and operational KPIs.
Report Preparation: Support preparation of management dashboards daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and performance scorecards used by operations leadership underwriting claims and finance teams.
KPI Monitoring: Track key insurance metrics such as loss ratios claim cycle times agent performance renewals/cancellations premium trends and operational SLAs.
Trend & Variance Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial and operational variances across product lines geographies or business units to support decision-making.
Operational Process Reporting: Help consolidate data related to policy issuance claims processing agent activities and customer service to prepare operations-focused reports.
Data Reconciliation Support: Reconcile operational data with financial systems (e.g. subledger to reporting dashboards) to ensure accuracy and eliminate mismatches.
Management Package Support: Contribute to monthly/quarterly reporting deck preparation for senior management including narrative summaries visualizations and performance commentary.
Cross Functional Coordination: Work with underwriting claims actuarial and finance teams to ensure complete and accurate inputs for reporting cycles.
Controls & Documentation: Maintain documentation for all reporting procedures ensure audit ready records and support compliance with internal controls and NAIC reporting expectations
Minimum Qualifications:
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
Relevant years of experience in managing Management/Operational reporting
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
Insurance Reporting Knowledge: Understanding of operational/management reporting processes including KPIs performance dashboards and insurance-specific metrics (premiums claims loss ratios).
Data Analysis & Visualization: Experience or familiarity with Excel dashboards pivot tables charts and (preferably) Power BI/Tableau for operational reporting.
Awareness of Insurance Operations: Basic understanding of how underwriting claims customer service and agent/broker networks function to produce operational data.
Reconciliation & Data Accuracy Mindset: Ability to verify datasets identify breaks and ensure accurate reporting across operations and finance teams.
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills.
Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
