ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. The Field Technician repairs water meters and performs meter reading of Authoritys water meters and performs CCTV of collection piping manhole inspections distribution valve exercising and fire hydrant repairs.
2. The Field Technician performs maintenance on variety of equipment such as chlorine pumps booster pumps lift station pumps check valves diesel generators and diesel pumps valves air vacs and prvs.
3. Collect water and wastewater samples for analysis in accordance with State standards and performs minor lab test such as PH and CL2 in accordance with State and ACWWA policy
4. The Field Technician monitors and inspects ACWWA physical facilities; takes appropriate action in accordance with policy and procedures
5. Performs water treatment and lift stations rounds; well checks lift stations checks and routine flushing of the distribution system.
6. Performs minor vehicle maintenance.
7. The Field Technician responds to customer service issues and follows up according to ACWWA policy. Responds to emergency calls as necessary attends required regulatory meetings and observes safe work practices.
8. The Field Technician conducts a variety of administrative tasks such as maintaining logs and recording observations ordering supplies and general clerical duties.
9. Provides regular inputs on team problems solving on treatment systems and use predictable maintenance tools.
10. Understating of the PLC SCADA HMI control for the Field Operations equipment.
11. The Field Technician must be able to obtain the Collection class 1 Distribution Class 1 and Water treatment class D certifications within 12 months of the hiring date.

Field Technician I (Class D Water Treatment Certification Class 1 Wastewater Collection and Class 1 Water Distribution Certification) -$21.54-$25.85
Field Technician II (Class C Water Treatment Certification Class 2 Wastewater Collection and Class 2 Water Distribution Certification) - $26-$31.20
Field Technician III (Class B Water Treatment Certification Class 3 Wastewater Collection and Class 3 Water Distribution Certification) - $28.60-$35.00
Actual compensation will be dependent upon experience and license/certification level.
