Duties

  • Support Defense Department corporate level industrial capability analyses for major acquisition logistics readiness surge and homeland defense programs.
  • Assure accomplishment of the technical phases of the mission to ensure the continuing ability of U.S. industry to support current and projected weapon systems programs from a manufacturing perspective.
  • Develop capabilities toward long range continuous improvement plans for manufacturing engineering econometric financial and industrial capability planning and analysis.
  • Provides leadership to subordinates and technical guidance to executive/management level representatives from the Military Services DCMA and other Government Agencies.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Director Industrial Analysis Group your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Developing and implementing processes to evaluate industry capabilities to design develop produce and support weapons systems and components required to supply and equip the existing and planned force structure of the Armed Forces.
  • Providing acquisition decision makers with essential industrial/contractor information in order to develop/implement optimum acquisition strategies and support other decisions for equipping war fighters with maximum combat capabilities in minimal time and costs.
  • Evaluating and analyzing the capability of the manufacturing industrial base and the technologies associated with this base to support current and projected weapon systems programs under varying requirement scenarios.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

  • Tour of Duty: Flexible

  • If selected for an interview you may be required to provide your last three performance appraisals to the panel.
  • Selectee may be required to serve a trial/probationary period.
  • Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive may be authorized at Managements discretion.

  • Acquisition Technology & Logistics (AT&L) CAP: Position is a DoD Critical Acquisition Position & requires DoD Acquisition Contracting Professional certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years and sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
