Last year we rescued 2900 tonnes of clothing from landfill gave opportunities to 5000 volunteers and generated funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross providing relief in times of crisis and care where its needed opportunityOur Distribution Centre located in Derrimut is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with sorting and tagging donations. With this volunteer day youll get the opportunity to:Assist with sorting tagging and packing both new and preloved donated goods according to set standards & store requirementsHelp assess the quality and suitability of donated merchandise and address any quality issuesMake friends and contribute your skills to help us raise money for those in needNo experience is necessaryTraining and onsite induction providedThe impactThrough volunteering with Red Cross your contribution will help us procure quality donations which help to raise funds which bring care and comfort where its needed most.
