Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and proactiveMaintenance Supervisor to join our Property and Works team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality maintenance services across the College ensuring our buildings facilities and infrastructure are safe compliant and fit for purpose.
Your Role:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing reactive and planned maintenance activities across the campus while also contributing directly to maintenance works as required. The role plays a key part in preventative maintenance planning asset management and continuous improvement of facilities and safety standards.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate and supervise day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance activities across the College campus.
- Carry out hands-on maintenance works in line with preventative maintenance schedules and asset management plans.
- Lead support and allocate work to facilities staff ensuring priorities and service standards are met.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors monitoring quality of work timelines and WHS compliance.
- Proactively identify maintenance issues safety hazards and opportunities for improvement escalating risks as required.
- Assist with the development implementation and review of preventative maintenance programs.
- Support asset management activities including asset registers condition reporting and lifecycle planning.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand maintenance needs and minimise disruption to College operations.
- Assist with set-ups and pack-downs for College events activities and functions.
- Prepare maintenance reports and assist with cost tracking procurement and budgeting as directed by the Director of Property and Works.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in building or facilities maintenance preferably in a supervisory role.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and safe work practices.
- Strong planning prioritisation and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership capability.
- Experience working with contractors and service providers.
Essential Qualifications:
- Trade qualification or relevant maintenance-related certification.
- Current Positive Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
