In this role you will be responsible for operating the equipment safely and efficiently according to established practices procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Intervene directly with the shift organization and the business team accountable on any issues that are not in compliance or have the potential of not being in compliance
Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to independently devise new/modified methods and approaches or develop new/modified processes to resolve non-routine needs or problems
Complete regular field checks to monitor plant performance
Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues of the operating unit
Complete equipment start-up and shutdown activities

Location - Fort Saskatchewan/Edmonton
Day shift and night shifts 12 hr shifts
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of working experience as a Power Engineer
Fourth Class Power Engineering ticket
Ability to interpret Alberta Safety Code Regulation which includes ASME Codes and others
Possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
