Overview: Our client is one of the longest-established real estate organizations in Barbados. Due to growth they are seeking to employ a proven professional to add to the team. The focus of this role is to contribute to the Facility Management Accounting Team to ensure accurate and efficient accounting and maintenance of records for the clients of the Facility Management Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep all client accounting current and accurate in advance of deadlines.
Deliver monthly reports to the Facilities Management team and landlords in a timely fashion.
Manage the daily entry of payables for assigned portfolio of clients. Ensuring that
obligations are settled in a timely manner.
Ensure that all spends are approved by the relevant Facility Manager & fall within the parameters of the clients management agreement.
As required issue cheques and receipts for funds received for Corporate/ Commercial Accounts ensuring entries are recorded accurately.
Enter all cheques written and deposits made for commercial clients in relevant account database.
Issue monthly rent invoices for commercial accounts.
Maintain current filing system of all accounting information.
Communicate with members of the Facility Management team regarding financial information and programs needed for the execution of accurate client accounts.
Communicate with and provide requested information in the requisite format to the external auditors for all clients in assigned portfolio.
Act as advisor to the FM Team articulate the accounting process regarding various clients requirements.
Requirements
- A Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field
- Completed to level 2 of an accredited accounting designation program or other relevant qualification would be an asset.
- A good working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software would be a definite advantage.
- At least two years prior experience in a similar position.
