What youll be doing:

Data Operations

• Coordinate with the support team and internal stakeholders to maintain and improve performance and user experience of the Information Delivery Data Platform.
• Review and augment incoming requests ensuring high quality and timely turnaround.
• Report on and analyze platform data to provide insights that support improvements to platform performance and data quality.
• Monitor and maintain data pipelines including ingestion transformation and quality validation steps.
• Support governance and lifecycle managementâfor datasets within Databricks Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.

Business Analysis

• Collaborate with various departments to identify document and translate business needs into clear data or reporting requirements.
• Analyze and break down complex business processes to identify opportunities to automate or streamline data flows.
• Facilitate discussions with business users to understand and collect detailed functional requirements.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure final solutions meet user needs and align with data platform best practices.

Data Engineering

• Develop and enhance ETL/ELT workflowsâusing SQL Python Databricks Workflows and Delta Live Tables (DLT).
• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelinesâthat source data from APIs files databases and third-party systems.
• Optimize queries jobs and pipelinesâfor performance and reliability within Databricks.
• Support deployment and operationalization of new datasets data assets and platform features.

Product Delivery

• Test and validate new data solutions ensuring functionality quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers data engineers and analysts to ensure solutions align with business needs and technical standards.
• Design build and implement data products using Databricks and/or Power BI.
• Work with innovative technologies such as advanced data modeling Unity Catalog MLflow and generative AI.
• Document data pipelines datasets and workflowsâto support operational continuity and student learning.

What you must have:

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in Information Technology Computer Science Business Information Systems or a related field.
• Effective communication skills and are able to convey technical information in a way that is accessible to diverse audiences.
