Job Summary
The firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage and Liability Attorney to join its Tallahassee-based practice. This role focuses on sophisticated insurance coverage and liability matters offering exposure to complex litigation and high-impact client work. The ideal attorney is analytical detail-oriented and confident in both written and oral advocacy. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys ownership of cases thrives in a team-oriented environment and is motivated by long-term professional growth within a stable and supportive firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters involving first-party property insurance and insurance coverage disputes
• Defend and prepare depositions of expert witnesses fact witnesses and parties
• Draft pleadings motions and written discovery
• Attend court hearings mediations and contribute to trial preparation
• Analyze coverage issues and liability exposure
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate billing and comply with reporting guidelines

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
• Strong academic credentials
• Experience with insurance coverage and liability matters
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• Familiarity with litigation billing practices and reporting requirement
