Job Summary
The firm is seeking a First-Party Property Coverage Attorney to join its Dallas-based practice. This role focuses on sophisticated first-party property coverage matters from pre-suit analysis through litigation. The ideal candidate is an experienced coverage attorney who enjoys detailed policy analysis strategic litigation work and managing matters through resolution. Responsibilities

• Handle first-party property coverage matters at all stages including pre-suit analysis and litigation
• Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage positions
• Conduct examinations under oath and defend or take depositions
• Draft pleadings motions and written discovery
• Attend mediations hearings and other court proceedings
• Develop case strategy and assist with resolution planning
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
• Maintain accurate billing and comply with reporting guidelines

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar or ability to obtain licensure
• Minimum of four years of insurance coverage experience
• Experience handling first-party property coverage disputes
• Strong legal writing analytical and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters
• Collaborative team-first mindset
