DescriptionCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for delivering basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff supporting patients comfort and assisting with daily living activities and clinical procedures.
Essential Functions
- Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing grooming and mobility assistance.
- Provide general nursing support such as positioning lifting turning and using special equipment.
- Assist with toileting needs using bedpans urinals commodes or ambulation to the bathroom.
- Take and record temperature pulse respiration weight height blood pressure and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
- Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
- Maintain a clean comfortable and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
- Support patient admission transfer and discharge procedures including handling of patient belongings.
- Answer patient call lights phones and pages responding promptly and appropriately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
License: Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.
