The purpose of this position is to further education the development and management of residency programs and clinical services in the RVAHCS while providing direct clinical oversight of the Primary Care and Medical Education services and other clinical services as assigned by the Chief of Staff. The Deputy Chief of Staff of Ambulatory and Academic Medicine will serve as Acting Chief of Staff in the absence of the Chief of Staff and participate in recruitment interviews for key staff members.
The DCOS provides administrative clinical and leadership for medical services specifically Primary Care and Residency Training programs with oversight of the primary care residency program and the development of additional residency program partnerships to ensure achievement of the clinical and educational goals and applicable performance measures.
Duties include but not limited to:
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Additional Requirement: At least 5 years of experience in the practice of medicine demonstrated expertise in Medicine and Leadership.
