The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as Computational Materials Science Characterization Materials Science Defence Composite Materials Functional Composite Materials Energy Nanomaterials Low Dimensional Materials Biomaterials Materials Biological Materials Bioinspired Materials and Sustainable Materials. Our research group focuses on research areas relevant to macromolecular and hybrid materials including topics in the fields of polymer science and engineering composite science environmental science and so on.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop green and scalable process for nanomaterials preparation and synthesis/production with controlled quantity and quality which finally needs to go for the agricultural application in both lab scale and field testing.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Materials Science Chemical Engineering Biology (especially Plant Biology and Plant Physiology) Agricultural studies or Agronomics
Study or work experience in research and development on topics on nanomaterials synthesis chemical engineering process design and engineering green technologies agricultural practices
Proficiency in hands-on and characterization techniques such as TEM EDX SEM FTIR TGA XRD XPS CHNS ICP preferred
Software skills relevant to machine learning process design mass balance cost analysis and life-cycle-analysis preferred
Industrial experience in scaling-up design and productization preferred
Good team-player good communication skill problem solver thinker and doer able to exhibit leadership when needed
Good wet laboratory practice and familiar with considerations on laboratory safety
