Job Summary

Salary Range:$24-$26/hr. (commensurate with experience)
Schedule:Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Who You Are
The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing across Koch Truckings divisions and role requires exceptional attention to detail verifying rates auditing invoices and maintaining detailed records. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Youll work in a structured office environment and be expected to manage high volumes of data efficiently supporting both internal teams and external customer needs.

What does this job look like daily
- Index trip documents for billing
- Scan and index rates and contracts
- Generate and audit invoices with a strong focus on accuracy
- Audit and reconcile rates and invoices against internal systems and customers website platforms
- Maintain rate books and fuel surcharge data for customer accounts
- Communicate with internal teams to resolve/update mismatched rates
- Generate and audit weekly reports for error correction
- Monitor invoice runs and prepares documents for mailing
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable/Collections to resolve billing disputes
- Respond to customer calls and emails and provide proof of delivery (POD)
- Track billing totals and bank deposits; compile daily reports
- Ensure invoices are emailed or mailed in a timely and accurate manner
- Will be responsible for Dedicated Accounts
Secondary Job Functions
- Serve as a representative of the Company displaying courtesy tact consideration and discretion
in all interactions with other members of the Koch community customers and with the public. - Cross training as required.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in an office setting using Microsoft Excel regularly
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of billing or accounts receivable experience
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Extremely detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in repetitive tasks
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. formulas sorting/filtering pivot tables)
- Ability to process high volumes of data quickly and accurately under tight deadlines on a weekly basis
- 10 Key Proficient
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable navigating systems such as TMW and Epicor
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn
- Problem solving ability to identify and resolve problems
- Clear and professional communication style
Physical Requirements
- 90% of the workday is spent at a desk using a computer
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds (files supplies envelopes)
- Frequent use of standard office equipment (phone printer scanner keyboard)
About the role
The salary grade for this position ranges from $22.31 - $30.36 per hour. While offers will be based on experience and qualifications the targeted pay range for this role is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
