We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our growing team.
The key objective of this role is to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance of steel components prior to welding and post based on technical specifications and strong workshop drawing interpretation. You will play a critical role in ensuring fabrication quality by identifying non-conformances early in the process and supporting a culture of precision and continuous improvement.
This position requires strong attention to detail the ability to interpret complex drawings and great communication skills to work alongside supervisors fabricators and welders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct dimensional inspections of steel components prior to welding and post
- Interpret workshop drawings and fabrication standards to assess compliance
- Identify report and support rectification of non-conformances
- Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to uphold quality expectations
- Assist in maintaining and improving fabrication quality systems
- Support a proactive quality culture through early detection and prevention
Qualifications :
Knowledge Skills Abilities Experience:
- Proven experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment or quality system roles
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering/workshop drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Prior QA/QC experience in steel fabrication or related field (preferred)
Understanding of pre-weld processes and inspection protocols
