About the Position

As a Parts Counterperson at Steven Toyota you play a vital role in supporting our service sales and body shop departments. You will work directly with internal teams and retail customers to ensure accurate parts selection efficient order processing and exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced dealership environment while maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude.

Schedule

  • Full Time

  • Off some Weekends

Compensation

  • Annual earnings range: $50000 $120000

  • Base salary plus commission pay structure

  • Commission based on performance and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.

  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly professional and efficient manner.

  • Provide accurate and timely updates regarding parts availability and order status.

  • Read and navigate parts catalogs to correctly identify and source parts.

  • Answer incoming calls provide pricing quotes and share product information.

  • Review body shop estimates to ensure correct parts ordering and accurate pricing.

  • Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers.

  • Pull and fill parts orders from inventory and perform weekly bin checks to maintain accuracy.

  • Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock items or materials requiring immediate attention.

  • Source out-of-stock parts from external vendors and submit emergency orders when necessary.

  • Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed to service repair orders.

  • Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; prior automotive parts sales experience preferred

  • Motivation to grow in a fast-paced dealership environment

  • Strong interpersonal communication and time management skills

  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documentation

  • Solid math skills including calculating discounts percentages and commissions

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
