The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Childrens Medical Center (DCMC)isseeking a 4th full time Pediatric Heart Failure/Transplant cardiologist to support our rapidly growing team within theTexas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD) a collaboration between UT Health Austin (the clinical practice of Dell Medical School) and Dell Childrens Medical Center which was recently ranked No. 10 in the nation for Pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery in the202526 U.S. News & World Report Best Childrens Hospitalsrankings.
About The Pediatric Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist Position
We are recruiting for an experienced senior level heart failure/transplant cardiologist with opportunityfor a leadership role. The idealcandidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care leadership and innovationalongside our team ofcardiologists and advanced practice patient care is our primary focus education and research are also encouraged andsupported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician research manager and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of centralTexas and beyond.
The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care administration program development and growthteam building safety quality and access for transplantservices. This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentalsof extraordinary collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and various departments from UT Health and The University of Texas at Austin are expected and supported. Routine patient care will include: Outpatient clinic inpatient consultation supervision of advanced practice providers and hospital service.

Required:
- Interested individuals should be board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology and able to obtain anunrestricted Texas Medical License.
- The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the field including the full range of clinical care to include diagnosis and management of heart failure ventricular assist devices (VADs) heart transplant evaluation/listing and management of patients post-transplant
- Eligible for faculty appointment at The University of Texas at and academic rank commensurate with experience.
Preferred:
- Preference will be given to those with experience at higher volumecenters and demonstrated leadership roles.
- Additional preference will be given to those with previous experience or education in medicaladministration and those who have clinical research experience.
