Finance Transformation Programme Lead

The Finance team is critical in supporting the Wise mission of Money without Borders. We are working on numerous projects to transform the finance tribe to enable us to better manage risk scale our operations and enable growth. This is an unique opportunity to be a key contributor to building the future of finance and Wise.

This role will partner across the entire Finance function to drive the successful delivery of all of our projects and programmes as well as to embed and continuously improve project delivery within the function.

You will be responsible for orchestrating and driving the various finance workstreams (including those related to US listing) as well as being involved in this complex and critical undertaking ensuring timely and successful completion. 

This role would suit someone highly collaborative who is experienced in programme management and comfortable with working at pace to build something new 

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Lead high-impact Finance transformation programmes - You will manage and coordinate complex transformation initiatives across Group Finance ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities including US listing system integration reporting modernisation and controls uplift. Working with finance process owners senior leadership and technical partners youll define scope success criteria and delivery paths and ensure we execute with discipline and pace.

• Build cross-Finance alignment and drive change that sticks - Youll partner closely with Accounting Reporting FP&A Tax Risk & Controls Product Analytics and Engineering to ensure key initiatives move forward cohesively. Youll facilitate workshops manage stakeholder expectations drive communication and training and ensure business adoption and sustainability not just delivery of technology.

• US Stock Exchange Listing - Finance Change work streams project manager - Crucial leader within the US listing transaction integration team taking ownership for the management of several high-stakes financial workstreams. You will be working with the workstream owners to ensure effective delivery and management of the workstreams. Adding value via activities such as identifying cross finance dependencies providing a critical review and challenge identifying gaps etc. 

• Shape our programme governance and prioritisation routines - Youll embed and continuously improve the governance frameworks that enable Finance to make informed prioritisation decisions sequence major initiatives and manage dependencies across teams and systems. Youll support steering committees provide structured progress updates escalate decisions when needed and ensure transparency throughout the change lifecycle.

• Drive improvements in Finance processes systems and ways of working - Youll collaborate with Finance leaders and Product teams to identify opportunities to standardise automate simplify and strengthen processes across the Finance value chain. Youll ensure business requirements are met and compliance standards are upheld.

Qualifications :

• You are a seasoned Programme Manager - able to establish credibility quickly and tailor your programme governance structures and controls to your environment. You will have a recognised programme or portfolio management qualification and likely a project management qualification too. You might also have a change management qualification and experience of managing programmes of work on

• You are an excellent communicator and highly collaborative - you are excellent at building relationships quickly and working across teams and functions; able to bring people together to achieve a common goal. Youre also an excellent communicator who is able to influence across matrix structures to get things done

• You have a passion for working in a Finance team - you understand that Finance at Wise isnt just about numbers but about enabling our mission of money without borders. Youve worked in Finance teams within high-growth regulated environments and are driven by the complexity of supporting a global financial services platform.

• You understand good change management and communication are key to successful programme delivery - youre great at guiding the business through the cumulative change your programme of projects brings; and amazing at communicating effectively and thoughtfully varying your style based on the circumstance

• You think globally - youre experienced supporting leaders and employees split across geographies and timezones. You understand that thinking globally is not just jargon its key to the successful delivery of a global programme of work

• Youre data driven - you use data to inform your decisions
