Job Summary
Summary
These positions are assigned to MWR Community Recreation Division and will be referred out to Aquatics.

Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
- Manages all swimming lessons and instructs and develops swim program.
- Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students.
- Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.

Conditions of employment

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of all required background checks in accordance with AR. i. is required to include a health screening.
- In addition the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
- Be available to work days nights weekends and holidays.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience related to the duties described above and possession (or in the process of obtaining) of the following certificates:
- Water Safety Instructor Certification
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- First Aid Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross Ellis @ Associates Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable)
