Job Summary

Duties

  • Manages all swimming lessons and instructs and develops swim program.
  • Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students.
  • Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of all required background checks in accordance with AR. i. is required to include a health screening.
  • In addition the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
  • Be available to work days nights weekends and holidays.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Work experience related to the duties described above and possession (or in the process of obtaining) of the following certificates:

  1. Water Safety Instructor Certification
  2. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  3. First Aid Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross Ellis @ Associates Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable)

Allowances and Differentials

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
