Job Summary

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval award amount (up to $200000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.


Duties

The position is responsible for program oversight monitoring and administration serving as the primary contact with local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and providing case management-based services (directly or through referral) necessary to ensure that Veteran care is coordinated with the VA Medical Center community health or mental health providers and agencies that serve homeless populations.

Veterans eligible for HUD/VASH come from a wide geographic area. Their health and mental health needs may be complex and require a high degree of clinical oversight and creative problem solving. Services are provided in healthcare settings and in the community. The HUD/VASH Program requires continuous coordination with the communitys homeless providers and coalitions as well as with other local state and federal agencies.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm


(Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).

Travel: You may be expected to travel up to 75% of the time - Valid Drivers License required
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment full time employees with a total family income below $144000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
