THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM MANAGER (MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER) (TITLE 32) Position Description Number D1642P01 and is part of the IL 126 National Guard.
As a PROGRAM MANAGER (MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER) (TITLE 32) GSyou will serve as the host base Mission Support Group Commander with a working knowledge of and responsibility for directing all infrastructure operations of an aviation base.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709) the only area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades: Minimum Rank O5 - Maximum Rank O6
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience education or training in managing or directing one or more programs including appropriate supporting service organizations; supervisory managerial professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles practices methods and techniques; experience using computer and automation systems.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 Level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-14 Level MUST possess at least 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level of GS-13; specialized experience analyzing problems identifying significant factors gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports plans policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources; must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel or substantive administrative support functions.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: MUST possess supervisory experience which includes experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading directing and assigning work of personnel.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
