The Psychiatrist is in the outpatient Mental Health Clinic within the Mental Health Clinical Center (MHCC) and practices at the independent clinical level of practice treating our Geriatric population. The Psychiatrist has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment diagnosis and psychopharmacologic treatment of a variety of mental health conditions. The Psychiatrist provides individual treatment using evidenced based interventions for the treatment of Veterans with diagnosis.
Our hospital provides primary care and specialty health services including mental health services womens health care multiple sclerosis treatment care for Veterans who are blind or have low vision cancer treatment physical therapy chronic pain management and more.
The Psychiatrist provides individual treatment using evidenced based interventions for the treatment of Veterans with diagnosis to include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Substance Use Disorder Mood Disorders Anxiety Disorders severe and persistent mental illness personality disorders and other disabling affective and anxiety disorders.
The Psychiatrist works as a member of an interdisciplinary MHCC team. There may be some times that the clinician would have to visit a main facility or a different CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings.

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval award amount (up to $200000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary annual performance bonus regular salary increases
