HireNow Staffing is partnering with an established manufacturing organization in Waterloo Iowa to hire a highly capable Production Supervisor for its 2nd shift operations.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor working directly alongside production teams and driving real-time execution across safety quality and output. Approximately 50% of this position involves direct labor making it best suited for supervisors who lead by example and thrive in fast-paced environments.

What Youll Own

As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for day-to-day shift execution while supporting operational priorities set by the Production Manager and Director of Operations. The right candidate will bring strong people leadership a safety-first mindset and the ability to keep production moving efficiently while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to:

• Execute daily production schedules by assigning labor monitoring workflow and ensuring output targets are met

• Lead and coach manufacturing employees through consistent expectations feedback and on-the-job training

• Supervise shift performance across productivity attendance safety and quality standards

• Spend significant time on the production floor performing hands-on work alongside team members (approximately 50%)

• Monitor staffing levels equipment performance and process flow to maintain operational efficiency

• Identify and escalate safety environmental or health risks ensuring compliance with plant standards

• Serve as the quality owner for assigned production areas reinforcing inspection requirements and corrective action

• Ensure materials supplies and resources are available to prevent delays or downtime

• Complete shift reporting documenting key production metrics and performance trends

• Maintain a clean organized and high-accountability work environment

• Support hiring onboarding cross-training and development of new production team members

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead-level experience overseeing hourly teams

• Ability to lead through presence accountability and hands-on execution

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under production pressure

• Commitment to safety quality and team standards

• Solid communication and interpersonal leadership ability

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting tools

• Valid drivers license required

• Ability to work an onsite 2nd shift schedule consistently
