Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Location: Eye Suffolk

Salary: 53000 per annum

A leading FMCG food manufacturer is recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern high-care production facility in Suffolk.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to an experienced multi-skilled engineer who enjoys fault-finding improving asset reliability and supporting site-wide engineering standards within a regulated food manufacturing environment.

The Role

- Planned preventative predictive and reactive maintenance across site assets
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding including PLC-controlled systems
- Supporting equipment upgrades installations and continuous improvement projects
- Use of CMMS systems to manage PPMs breakdowns and maintenance records
- Supporting food safety hygiene and health & safety compliance (BRC environment)
- Liaising with contractors and supporting engineering projects

What Were Looking For

- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering
- Proven experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with PLCs control systems pneumatics and heavy machinery
- Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and CMMS
- Comfortable working in a high-care regulated environment
- 18th Edition food safety IOSHH or similar qualifications are advantageous but not essential
