Senior Software Engineer (Java & Typescript)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong fullstack development experience encompassing both frontend and backend engineering. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in TypeScriptbased frontend applications and Javabased microservices built with Spring Boot. This role is integral to delivering endtoend features contributing to both user-facing products and core backend services.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineers business analysts testers and Product Owners to deliver scalable secure and highquality solutions. They will be expected to take full ownership of features across the technology stack contribute to technical design discussions and support the wider team in upholding exceptional engineering standards.

What youll be doing:

• Delivering clean maintainable features across TypeScriptbased frontend applications and Java/Spring Boot backend services ensuring solutions align with standards and deliver customer value
• Building and maintaining RESTful microservices while integrating them with modern frontend applications to ensure performance scalability and reliability
• Collaborating with Product Owners Business Analysts and Designers to translate requirements into wellstructured userfocused solutions
• Contributing to system design and architectural discussions supporting the Tech Lead in defining technical approaches and implementation strategies
• Applying best practices in frontend engineering including componentbased architectures state management and performance optimisation
• Ensuring highquality delivery through comprehensive testing across the stack including unit integration and endtoend testing
• Participating in code reviews to promote maintainability performance security and usability.
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines deployment processes and continuous improvement initiatives including reducing technical debt and enhancing engineering practices

Who were looking for:

• Strong experience delivering fullstack applications with handson development across both TypeScriptbased frontends and Java/Spring Boot backends
• Solid grasp of modern frontend architecture including componentbased design state management and performance optimisation
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful microservices and integrate frontend applications with backend services
• Practical experience working with AWS services and an understanding of distributed systems and cloudnative architectures
• Strong knowledge of testing practices across the stack covering unit integration and endtoend testing
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern Agile development workflows such as Scrum or Kanban
• Good understanding of clean code principles (e.g. SOLID) and modern architectural patterns such as hexagonal or layered architecture
• Capability to debug complex issues across frontend and backend systems performing effective rootcause analysis and contributing to a highperforming team culture
