We have an exciting opportunity for an early in career policy professional to join our Arts & Heritage Policy team.This is a permanent position reporting to the Manager Policy Arts & Heritage.
Kōreromōtetūranga About the role
In this role you will draw on your knowledge and experience of public policy processes toadviseMinisters ona range of policyissuesimpactingon the arts and heritage system.Our work spans the range of policy levers including regulatory funding and system-level policy and interesting issues that require balancing of economicculturaland social outcomes.This includes advising on and contributing to the implementationreportingand programme management ofAmplify the Governments Creative and Cultural Strategy.
Thisroleoffers plenty of room and support for development and growth including opportunities to work collaboratively with other agencies and a wide range of stakeholders.

We are looking foranenthusiastic team player who can hit the ground running think strategically work through ambiguity and manage exchange this role will provide you with experiences variety and opportunities that will enhance your career.
Ideally you will have:
- Relevant experience providing policy analysis and advice in the public sectorat anadvisor level
- analytical and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communicationand relationship managementskills
- Some understanding of TeTiritio Waitangi principles and application of these in public policy and partnership with Māori
- An ability toprovidequality advice under tighttimeframes
- Experience with project/programme management and reporting
