Established in 2010 the Energy Research Institute @ NTU () is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions motivated by industrialisation and deployment. has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake the design of acoustics metamaterials with ventilation capabilities for sound mitigation in buildings
Undertake numerical simulations to optimize design and performance using commercial tools
Undertake lab and on-site experiments to validate solution
Innovate and seek technologies for potential applications
Publish quality research articles to disseminate study findings
Undertake project administrations and liaison
Provide regular updates and reports
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering physics or related fields
At least 2 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in specific scope
Familiarity with COMSOL and acoustics simulation tools
Familiarity with acoustics experiments
Good written and oral communication skills
Good personality team player creative and thinker.
Ability to work independently good time management and work well under strict timelines good time management skills
