Whatyoull do:

  • Strategy: Lead the external communications strategy and adjust the approach to communications as informed by ongoing measurement and analysis of reach impact and engagement. Identify lead develop and project manage multi-channel campaigns across a variety of topics from public safety to sustainability operations and support brand and sponsorship activities.
  • Social media: Draft develop and design organic and paid content and deploy an always on content schedule across multiple platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Instagram Facebook) in a way that support brand identity and business objectives. Coordinate WaterNSWs social media presence providing consistency of message tone strategy and an audience-first approach while delivering real time analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Project management and planning: Manage the development delivery and deployment of internal change and other stakeholder communications plans for major projects and programs being undertaken at WaterNSW.
  • Content and channels: Identify the need for then research and produce written and visual content for internal and external channels that supports messaging aligned with the Strategic Communications conjunction with the team manage and moderate the content of digital communications channels.
  • Communications: Lead and support the communication requirements of incident management teams as and when needed. Provide support for other corporate communications activities including both internal and external communications where appropriate.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications Marketing Public Relations or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in the communications fields with experience in generating social media content on platforms including Facebook Instagram & LinkedIn and drawing digital marketing data insights.
  • Excellent written and creative skills with flawless attention to detail and demonstrated ability to develop communication strategies and plans.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical problems identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions and to consciously join the dots and consider the audience at every opportunity.
  • Comfortable to coach and mentor team members and provide strategic advice and direction for various channels and campaigns.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
