This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32) Position Description Number D1738P01and is part of the FL 125th FW National Guard.
As an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic Supervisor WSyou will be plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules methods and policies. Determines skills materials and equipment required to do the work and participates in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests. Provides workload data estimates information on staffing needs and recommendations for the scheduling of projected work. Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements methods and procedures. Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas. Reviews work in progress or on completion. Makes adjustments as necessary to effectively and economically accomplish the work. Notes and investigates work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors. Assures that equipment and materiel is available when needed. Coordinates work with other units.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709 and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted: E6 thru E8
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicants ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components. Ability to use sketches electrical diagrams technical specifications and engineering drawings. Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical hydraulic and pneumatic checks.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WS-11- Must have at least 36 months of experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification repair and installation of ordnance systems; experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedy where complex relationships exist; experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring equipment; experience in the use of a variety of test equipment; experience in interpreting technical directions blueprints sketches wiring diagrams and manufacturers specifications. Experience demonstrating the ability to plan direct and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
