THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32) Position Description Number D100800 and is part of the IL DOL National Guard.
As a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32) GSyou will serve as the analyst and consultant for the management and administration of budget programs within the directorate/division.

Military Grades: Enlisted - Maximum Rank of E9
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience education or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis research writing and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences; ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations procedures and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-9 Level MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-7; experience education or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures; a good understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements; experiences and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions to read retain and understand a variety of instructions regulations policies and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.

If you are using Education to qualify for this position you MUST have a completed undergraduate or graduate education the college degree education must be in one of or be a combination of the following required disciplines: accounting business finance economics industrial management marketing quantitative methods or organizational management. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work.
Applicants who completed a military financial technical school course and were awarded the applicable and compatible military skills are considered qualified for GS-09 level positions.
