The Detroit VA Medical Center is searching for a Board Eligible/Board Certified part time Cardiologist to serve on the staff of a very active academic cardiology section with clinical strengths in electrophysiology interventional cardiology advanced heart failure/transplant and imaging. Skills in the performance supervision and interpretation of cardiac imaging studies including nuclear cardiology transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography are highly desired.
Opportunity exists to perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization but not therapeutic coronary or structural addition to cardiac imaging clinical duties include managing patients on the inpatient ward and outpatient specialty support of VAs teaching mission the incumbent will provide supervisory oversight of fellows residents and medical students. Candidates with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and passion for mentoring are desired.
The Detroit Outpatient Clinic offers the full spectrum of noninvasive Cardiology care including daily outpatient Cardiology clinic interpretation of exercise stress tests echocardiograms ECGs and Holter monitors. The Physician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
