Job Summary
The BMW Group aims to harness the potential of generative AI across all business processes. By utilizing AI applications that assist business users in their daily tasks and creating autonomous AI agents capable of executing complex workflows we envision a transformative AI-driven future. Central to this transformation is the Tech office Innovation team- BMW Group AI platform GAIA (Group Artificial Intelligence Assistant) which offers a cutting-edge AI toolkit for developing applications and agents. The newly established AI Delivery Factory for GAIA will enhance this platform by integrating BMW-specific AI tools and agents automating many manual tasks currently performed within our transactional IT systems. Your role will be pivotal in driving the BMW AI transformation.
What should you bring along:
- Overall 6 years of experience in IT
- AI/NLP/ML related project. 4 years of experience in work experience in GenAI.
- RAG systems knowledge / Agentic AI development
- ML Libraries / Model Tuning
- NLP Libraries / Github contributions
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with modern AI frameworks
- Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs like OpenAI GPT Anthropic Claude DeepSeek LLaMA or others.
- Expertise in developing Generative AI applications
- Proficiency in cloud software development.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services for AI (AWS)
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience in NLP Machine Learning and GenAI systems
- Hands-on expertise with LLMs - Proprietary and open source
- Deep understanding of RAG architecturesand vector databases
- Experience in model evaluation benchmarking and experimentation
Programming & Frameworks
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch TensorFlow Hugging Face)
- Backend development experience (FastAPI Flask or similar)
- Code Management Tools
- OPTIONAL Plus -Frontend experience (React Angular or similar) preferred
Data & Infrastructure
- Experience with vector databases (e.g. FAISS Pinecone Weaviate AWS Azure AI Search)
- NoSQL DB /
- Familiarity with MLOps / LLMOps practices
- Cloud Deployment - App deployment with CI/CD pipelines Container management
