Job Summary
The Catholic Diocese of Crookston seeks a full-time Cook/Foodservice Manager in Crookston MN. The full-time Cook/Foodservice Manager will assist with all aspects of foodservice for daily meals retreats and special events at the Pastoral Center (620 Summit Ave Crookston).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare the noon and evening meals for the Sisters of Saint Benedict who reside onsite.
- Develop meal plans order food and kitchen supplies and work with local caterers.
- Assist with hiring and scheduling evening and weekend foodservice staff.
- Serve and clean up during mealtimes.
- Work with internal and external groups planning special events.
- Maintain all licensing requirements for the kitchen required under Minnesota state law.
- Other duties to assist the Operations Manager.
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position (M-F) that requires occasional evening and weekend work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience in culinary arts.
Experience with menu planning including accommodations to allergens.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exceptional understanding of cooking and foodservice management and an aptitude for customer service. Excellent managerial skills and the ability to communicate with personnel and stakeholders effectively. Excellent organizational skills are desired.
