This roleis responsible fororganizing and preparing the kitchen line to ensure high-quality food preparation and an exceptional guest experience.
WhatYoullDo:
Prepare food items consistently while adhering to all established recipes and quality standards
Deliver exceptional customer service through accuracy efficiency and attention to detail
Set upmaintain and break down the kitchen line for daily service
Follow proper food handling procedures and food safety guidelines tomaintaina safe work environment
Assistwith food preparation cleanup and overall kitchen organization
Help control waste and support cross-utilization of ingredients
Safely and competentlyoperatekitchen tools and equipment including knives pots pans stoves ovens grills slicers steamers and fryers
Demonstrate knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as sautéing braising poaching grilling frying steaming and more
Collaborate with the management team and coworkers to foster a positive cooperative and team-oriented work environment.
WhatYoullNeed to Succeed:
High School Diploma or GED preferred; Culinary Arts degree or related field preferred
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant or food preparation environment
Basic knife skills and working knowledge of kitchen equipment
Ability to read recipes count accurately and perform simple math (addition and subtraction)
Strong communicationskills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
Ability to follow instructions carefully with a strong emphasis on safety
Capacity to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Flexibility to shift priorities and adapt to changing kitchen demands
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safelyoperatekitchen equipment
