Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): This position is eligible for the EDRP a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval award amount (up to $200000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. The White River Junction VA Medical Center is seeking a qualified AP and CP Board certified General Pathologist Chief. The Pathology and Laboratory Service consists of 3 full time Pathologists (including the Chief) requiring a broad general knowledge and experience in the field of Pathology. Clinical workload consists of 4500 cases a year largely including biopsy work in derm GI GU head and neck cases with occasional larger resection cases and few frozen sections. Cytology bone marrows and autopsies are sent out to other VAs or community partners. Successful applicants will also be considered for academic appointment at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center or Dartmouth College.
Community Information: The White River Junction VA Medical Center is located in rural Vermont with easy access to a number of outdoors recreation activities including skiing hiking and swimming. Located two-hours from Boston MA and less than three-hours from the coast it provides easy access to a variety of New England activities and sites.
