We Are Hiring: CVOR Registered Nurse Operating Room (OR) at Waukesha Memorial Hospital (WMH)

Are you a dedicated and passionate OR nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly specialized surgical team Waukesha Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse for our Operating Room to join a fast-paced innovative environment where cutting-edge procedures are performed every day.

At WMH youll work within 16 state-of-the-art Operating Room Suites performing up to 40 surgeries a day across a variety of specialties including:

Cardiothoracic
Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental
General/Vascular/ENT
GYN and Urology
Plastics Surgery

We also lead the way in da Vinci Robotic surgeries performing them in more specialties routinely than any other facility in Southeast Wisconsin. Our team also benefits from a newly constructed Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic Room enabling top-tier care and precision in a range of complex procedures.

What You Can Expect:

PM Shift ending at 7:30 PM
Flexibility with 8 or 10-hour shifts
Open Heart Call Team rotation:
1 -2 overnight on-call shift per week
1 on-call weekend every 3-4 weeks
2 - 3 holidays/year

What You Will Do:

The clinical nurseis a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families. Care is delivered using a deliberate systematic approach and practices are guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations. These nurses demonstrate mastery of most technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices. These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.

What You Will Need:

Associates degree of nursing is required. Preferred education level is a bachelors degree
Registered Nurse (RN) Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or ability to obtain at time of hire
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or ability to obtain during orietation
