Job description
The purpose of the Senior Treasury Specialist position is twofold:

  • Lead and operationalize Oxfam Novibs Treasury Policy and FX Risk Policy ensuring robust liquidity management FX risk mitigation and compliance with governance standards.
  • Provide targeted support to FAIRs impact investment portfolio including oversight of investment fund and development of finance investment products for partners.

You will play a key role in improving treasury processes optimizing interest income reducing FX risk exposure and ensuring reliable financial information for both actuals and budgets.

The name of the role will change in the future to Senior Treasury Specialist.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads an action plan to implement and maintain Treasury and FX Risk policies; lead annual reviews and compliance reporting.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting liquidity buffers and bank relationships; optimize interest income and minimize FX risk.
  • Execute FX conversions per policy; maintain competitive quote records and ensure AML/CTF compliance.
  • Defines requirements for the upcoming change of the ERP system from treasury perspective.
  • Supports the financial oversight of impact investment funds (Oxfam Novib Fund in Triple Jump and TCX) in FAIR unit
  • Provides explanations estimates budgets and budget reviews of financial results of impact investment and financial income and cost to Concern Control team.

Who are we looking for
We are looking for a results-oriented professional with strong planning and organizational skills. You should have a customer-oriented mindset demonstrate initiative work with precision and accuracy and possess excellent communication and creative skills.

  • You have a bachelors or masters degree and corresponding cognitive abilities. Preferably you possess five years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • You are able manage complexity and have strong sense of planning and alignment.
  • Financial - business- and technological acumen including experience with FEx platforms ERP (SAP) and MS excel.
  • You are proactive and a data enthusiast and you have a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • You are attuned to the interests within the organization and adept at navigating tactfully among them. Your focus is on achieving results and you enjoy collaborating with colleagues to attain common are a team player.
  • You can effectively guide your environment through processes in a pleasant manner demonstrating a keen understanding of when flexibility or steadfastness is required
  • You are able to communicate effectively
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • You have a valid permit to reside and work in the Netherlands.

The salary range for this position is set in scale 9 with a salary range between 3.447- and 5.183- gross depending on experience based on 36 hours a week.
  • We are currently working hybrid (50% in the office in The Hague and 50% at home).
