Specific Position Details:

• Location: Provost Public Provost AB
• Subject Areas: Kindergarten (Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays)
• Contract Type: Temporary Part-time
• FTE: 0.556

Specific Position Duties:

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and the ability to design developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support social emotional physical and cognitive growth in young learners
• Demonstrated ability to create nuturing inclusive and responsive learning environments that foster a sense of belonging and promote positive relationships with students and families
• Experience using observations documentation and assessment to inform instuction monitor developmental progress and colloborate with families and support teams to respond to individual student needs

Qualifications and General Duties:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizinglearning in a safe and caring environment
• Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
• Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning including formative and summative assessment strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
• A willingness to contribute to the schools extracurricular programs is considered an asset
