The typical hourly salary range for this position is $21.50 to $27.50. The hourly salary offered will be determined based on the candidates job-related knowledge skills education experience and internal equity considerations.
This posting is for an existing temporary full-time position.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsibility for assisting and supporting the QA Specialists with their daily best before date audits product checks and completions of Vendor Return documents.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Random product checks - Produce quality check based on random checks and requests from Merchandising and Procurement
- Daily quality audits - Organic quality checks
- Complete Return to Vendor documents - RTV documents to facilitate product returns
- Assist CFIA and Third-party inspection agencies - gather samples and assist cleaning up the inspection area
- Complete daily Dates and Alert audits - a morning report checking Best Before Date of salads and processed product
- Complete daily logs and reports - record daily rejection and inspections into a QA report
- Inbound quality and short weight inspections - Assist QA with inbound inspections
- Communicate with Buyers Toronto and Laval QA QA Manager and Director
- Assist Full Time QA Specialist with daily duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Produce experience an asset Grocery retail experience necessary
- Able to work in different temperature areas (3C to 23C)
- Able to lift 50 lb.
- Able to commit to the following work schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday
- Available to work weekends or holidays as needed flexibility with work hours required
- Some Excel and Word experience
- Able to work independently
