A Good Ofsted-rated primary school in Suffolk is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Officer to support the day-to-day management maintenance and security of the school site starting ASAP. This is a key operational role within a friendly primary setting helping to ensure a safe clean and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the school premises carrying out routine maintenance and supporting health & safety across the site. The role suits someone practical dependable and comfortable working independently in a primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day maintenance and care of school buildings and grounds
Opening and closing the school site as required
Carrying out basic repairs DIY and general upkeep
Supporting health & safety procedures and site compliance
Monitoring site security and reporting issues promptly
Supporting school events and occasional out-of-hours requirements
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience as a Site Officer Caretaker or Facilities Assistant
Practical maintenance and DIY skills
Working knowledge of health & safety procedures
Reliable flexible and hands-on approach
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
