About the role

We are searching for a driven and skillful Key Account Manager to work alongside and grow Halters corporate dairy customers in Victoria and South Australia. Were looking for someone with dairy systems knowledge commercial nous X-factor communication skills and the ability to drive change and communicate value.

You will be managing a portfolio of large corporate diary operations from phase one rollout through to full-scale integration with Halter technology. You will be driving the success and growth of Halter within these accounts.

Youll be an expert at building trusting relationships identifying opportunities within a dairy farming system to add value and enjoy driving the growth of the largest dairy businesses in Australia. Youll thrive in high-pressure environments using initiative to make results happen often against the odds. You might find yourself in a boardroom assisting the negotiating of a million-dollar contract one day reporting key KPIs to a GM the next day communicating opportunities and driving change with farm managers by Friday. Youll masterfully navigate layers within these businesses adjusting your communication at each level accordingly to convey the right context and value to all parties. Youll likely have deep extensive farming systems knowledge and have a natural ability to drive change on a property.

This isnt a typical role. This is a high-stakes role playing a critical role in Halters growth into the corporate segment in Victoria and South Australia.

Aside from jumping on the Halter roller coaster you will be making a real-world impact helping large scale dairy businesses transform how they operate to become more efficient and productive. You will build relationships across some of the most influential dairy businesses in Australia while working closely with senior leadership - Up for the challenge Lets talk.

This role is based in Victoria frequent travel within Victoria and South Australia and occasional travel to New Zealand is required as part of the position.

What your day could look like

    • Corporate Customer Success: Youll be embedded in the success of some of Halters largest and most strategic customers - ensuring our corporate dairy businesses realise full value from their investment. Youll understand their goals and farm system deeply help them embed Halter into daily operations and surface impact across the business. Your efforts will directly influence execution retention expansion and long-term growth.
    • Strategic Account Management: Youll build trusted long-term relationships with farm teams operational teams and executive stakeholders alike. Youll know when to guide when to challenge and when to step in to unlock new value. This isnt just about managing relationships - its about owning customer outcomes.
    • Executive Engagement: In collaboration with the Corporate Sales Manager you will work directly with senior leaders and multi-entity decision-makers. Youll understand the organisational structure surface strategic pain points and partner with the Corporate Sales Manager to tailor solutions that move the needle. With the Corporate Sales Manager youll also play a key role in supporting expansion and renewal conversations.
    • Influencer & Network Management: You wont stop with your customer. Youll build relationships with rural professionals consultants and other industry influencers who shape opinion success on farm and purchasing behaviour across your portfolio. Youll be known and respected in the region as a trusted Halter advisor.
    • Corporate Growth Strategy: Youll collaborate with the VIC/SA/TAS Corporate Sales Manager to co-create account plans drive territory expansion and identify new revenue streams within your customer base. Youll know your portfolio inside-out and play a key role in shaping how we grow our corporate presence in-market.
    • Cross-functional Leadership: Youll work closely with Halters product support and sales teams to champion your accounts internally. Whether its surfacing product feedback coordinating training or aligning on rollout strategy youll be the glue that holds corporate relationships together and drives results.
    • Forecasting & Planning: Alongside the Corporate Sales Manager youll contribute to accurate revenue forecasting and strategic planning. Youll bring rigour to account performance tracking and identify early signals of both risk and growth.
    • Scalable Growth Initiatives: Youll help evolve how we support and grow our largest customers. From refining account management strategies to building scalable playbooks youll be part of the team shaping what great looks like as Halter scales globally.

    • Travel-ready - Youll regularly be out with customers; being in the room the paddock or the boardroom when it counts. Expected travel up to 50% of the time.

Halter in Australia:
Halter entered Tasmania two years ago and has rapidly expanded to now have 20% of the states dairy herd with Halter - a thriving customer base managed by a talented local team. Halter recently entered Queensland and NSW and now has a growing team and customer base across both states.
In Victoria and South Australia Halter is preparing to launch operations following recent regulatory approval for virtual Western Australia Halter does not yet have these states there is a groundswell of demand for Halter across thousands of Australia virtual fencing is regulated by individual states animal welfare legislation. Until recently several states had legislation that did not permit farmers to use high-quality virtual fencing technology. With NSW parliaments announcement regulating virtual fencing and Victoria and South Australia following suit these barriers are now lifting.
