Besides marketing industrial sensors for laser power metering and for assessing insulation properties of buildings we also offer a unique core body temperature measurement solution (CALERA) for wearable devices. The technology empowers customers with a wide range of innovative applications such as improving sports performance continuous and non-invasive patient monitoring ovulation tracking sleep analysis or early detection of diseases.
In collaboration with the Hospital of Lucerne we are currently conducting a clinical study to evaluate the use of the technology as a fever monitoring device. The project which is funded by Innosuisse aims to collect high-quality clinical data to assess the accuracy and reliability of continuous non-invasive core body temperature monitoring.
Start date: March 2026 or by agreement.
Duration: 6 months.
Location: Hospital of Lucerne.
Tasks
We are looking for a motivated intern with a background in health sciences to support data collection at the Hospital of Lucerne for a six-month internship. This role offers hands-on experience in clinical research in the field of medical technology and wearables.
You will be employed by the Hospital of Lucerne while working in close collaboration with greenteg AG.
Main tasks:
- Recruitment of patients for the study.
- Data collection according to the study protocol (e.g. obtaining informed consent providing instructions to participants applying sensors and carrying out regular check-ins).
- Data management and basic data quality checks.
- Organising and maintaining study equipment.
- Literature research related to fever physiology and core body temperature measurement.
Requirements
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Health Sciences Physiology or other medical-related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills comfortable approaching and interacting with patients.
- Basic understanding of data protection patient confidentiality and research ethics; GCP (good clinical practice) course is a plus.
- Familiarity with physiological research methodologies and study protocols.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
Additional requirements:
- A valid Swiss working permit.
- Available to work on-site in the hospital of Lucerne Switzerland.
- Working days: Monday to Friday.
