Job Summary

Job Title: IT Technical Support Specialist
Location: Milledgeville GA
Note: Candidate MUST be local

Job Description:
This support person will oversee IT systems and assets assist with upgrades and fixes and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of computer hardware software network maintenance and industry trends. This role will directly support day-to-day operations and employee productivity.

Objectives of the Role:

Maintain IT operations including operating systems security tools applications servers email systems laptops desktops software and hardware
Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements
Improve business processes and employee productivity
Research and evaluate new technologies hardware and software
Serve as subject-matter expert for Windows and commonly used software such as Microsoft and Adobe

Responsibilities:

Install configure and support workstation software hardware printers and phones
Analyze staff needs and identify system vulnerabilities
Perform system and network design documentation implementation testing and administration
Implement application and software upgrades and troubleshoot performance issues
Train employees on software and hardware usage
Provide ongoing technical support

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience troubleshooting MS Office 365 VPN Adobe McAfee LogMeIn encryption tools
Ability to troubleshoot computer peripheral devices (printers scanners monitors keyboards mice etc.)
Experience supporting end-user devices including desktops laptops and Surface Pros
Experience working in an Active Directory domain environment
Proficient in software installation and troubleshooting
Basic networking knowledge with command-line troubleshooting skills
