Job Summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join a collaborative well-supported Level III NICU team in Lexington Kentucky offering hands-on clinical care strong neonatal nurse practitioner support and a schedule designed to prioritize work-life balance while maintaining procedural excellence.

Job Description:
The Neonatologist will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive neonatal care in a 32-bed Level III NICU
Managing care for infants from a busy newborn nursery service
Supporting approximately 4000 annual deliveries
Working alongside 2 Neonatologists and 2 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners during daytime hours
Participating in home-based night call with 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
Performing and maintaining hands-on neonatal procedures
Collaborating within a supportive team-oriented collegial practice environment
Participating in mentorship and professional development (especially supportive for new graduates)
Delivering high-quality compassionate neonatal care aligned with Pediatrix standards
This is a permanent full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatal Perinatal - REQUIRED
Kentucky Medical License (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED
Clean malpractice/license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - REQUIRED * no exemption required at presentation
DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - (note in Additional Submission Details field) - REQUIRED * no exemptions
Permanent Placement Fee $25K (note in Additional Submission Details field) - REQUIRED
Visa Support: Does provider require J1 or H1B support (note in Additional Submission Details field)- REQUIRED
