Job Summary:
The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG procedures and providing on-call coverage. This position requires the ability to float between units and participate in rotating weekday and weekend call schedules. The EEG Technician will work with a 1:1 patient ratio and must be able to respond to call-back assignments estimating a 50% call-in rate during on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage including weekdays and weekends.
- Respond to call-back assignments as needed.
- Float between units as required.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean working environment.
- Document patient information and procedures accurately.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- EEG Technician certification or equivalent experience.
- EEG Technician certification or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
Special Considerations:
- On-call coverage is a requirement of this position.
- Rotating weekday and weekend call schedule.
- EEG techs are not required to work their normal shift after being on-call and are able to call out post call without using PTO if they choose.
- Pagers are turned off at 9 PM during on-call shifts; only the neurologist can call in the EEG tech.
- EEG techs are paid for a minimum of 3 hours while being on call even if they are not called in. They are paid a call-back incentive if they do get called in.
