The Lighting Specialist 2 is responsible for designing and evaluating NEC-compliant lighting solutions for diverse outdoor settings. This role involves collaborating with internal partners vendors and external stakeholders to develop lighting proposals design prints and material lists. The specialist will create customized lighting plans perform voltage drop calculations ensure code compliance manage budgets and provide project documentation. Staying updated on lighting technologies and trends is also a key aspect of the role.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to develop pricing for lighting proposals.
- Create customized lighting plans that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Recommend and specify appropriate lighting fixtures lamps and controls.
- Perform voltage drop calculations to determine optimal wire cable and breaker/fuse loading.
- Ensure lighting designs comply with relevant codes standards and regulations.
- Provide cost estimates for lighting projects and work within budget constraints.
- Create detailed lighting plans technical drawings and specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest lighting products technologies and trends.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess existing lighting conditions.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers contractors and other professionals.
- Incorporate smart lighting systems automation and controls.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Alabama
- Comprehensive understanding of the NEC code book
- Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Alabama
- Comprehensive understanding of the NEC code book
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in lighting design and implementation (residential commercial industrial athletic field interstate lighting)
- Comprehensive understanding of lighting principles photometrics lighting controls and emerging lighting technologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Blue Beam and other relevant design tools
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
