QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess a four-year college degree in accounting business administration or finance and/or experience as an Athletic Director.
Evidence of strong administrative and organizational skills.
Interest in and knowledge of interscholastic athletic programs athletic scheduling rules and regulations and eligibility requirements.
Other related experience in interscholastic athletics.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL
To provide each enrolled secondary school student with opportunities to participate in extracurricular athletic activities that foster physical skills a sense of worth and competence appreciation of sport and the principles of fair play while supporting sound financial practices and ensuring district-wide compliance with Title IX.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Coordinate and supervise the development of the districts interscholastic athletic and extracurricular programs.
Prepare and administer the athletic budget.
Organize and schedule all interscholastic athletic and extracurricular activities.
Prepare bid specifications and recommend purchases of athletic and extracurricular equipment and supplies.
Supervise the care protection storage reconditioning and inventory of all athletic and extracurricular equipment and supplies.
Supervise the selection of personnel assigned to athletic and extracurricular duties.
Supervise the preparation management and control of all home athletic contests.
Arrange for physical examinations for all athletic participants.
Compile participant lists for insurance purposes and oversee injury reporting.
Assist administration and officials in maintaining discipline at athletic contests.
Determine and prepare eligibility lists for all interscholastic sports.
Request the temporary or permanent removal of athletes when eligibility requirements are not met (attendance behavior medical or academic).
Assist in developing student managers equipment managers and trainers.
Prepare and execute game and meet contracts.
Schedule all games and meets in cooperation with coaches and school principals.
Collaborate on decisions regarding cancellation postponement or rescheduling of contests.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure athletic facilities are safe and properly prepared.
Supervise athletic awards programs and presentations.
Maintain public relations and oversee publicity for athletic programs.
Maintain historical and statistical records of athletic contests.
Supervise coaching methods and practice schedules; plan and conduct in-service training.
Establish codes of conduct for coaches and athletes in collaboration with staff and administration.
Administer internal athletic accounts for officials and emergency payments.
Serve as district representative at conferences league meetings and state meetings.
Organize hire and compensate officials security and workers for athletic contests.
Arrange transportation for athletic teams.
Arrange for physician and ambulance services as required.
Conduct periodic and annual written evaluations of coaches and athletic personnel.
Advise the district on athletic equipment and facility acquisition design construction and maintenance.
Plan organize and supervise the districts recreational swimming program.
Arrange for non-school use of athletic facilities.
Coordinate the use of athletic facilities and equipment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES BUSINESS AFFAIRS
Assist in developing and implementing the annual district budget including completion of required state and federal financial reports.
Assist the Business Manager in administering the financial affairs of the district.
Collaborate with the Business Manager on long-range financial planning including revenue and expenditure projections.
Maintain cash balances and reconcile bank statements with the general ledger for assigned accounts.
Review financial statements regularly to ensure accuracy and analyze budget-to-actual performance.
Assist in administering district wage and salary programs.
Coordinate and monitor the tax collection process and recommend improvements.
Serve as Chief Financial Officer in the absence of the Business Manager.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Business Manager or Superintendent.
Perform other tasks within areas of expertise as assigned by the Superintendent.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES TITLE IX COORDINATOR
Duties related to coordinating the Districts Title IX compliance efforts include but are not limited to the following:
1. Policy Publication and Dissemination
2. Notification and Education
Attend annual training provided by the Office of Civil Rights.
Prepare and disseminate educational materials (brochures posters and web-based resources) to inform students staff and the community of Title IX rights and responsibilities.
Coordinate and facilitate annual Title IX in-service training for all district employees.

4. Institutional Monitoring and Compliance Assurance
Ensure training of staff responsible for implementing Title IX grievance procedures.
Organize and maintain grievance files disposition reports and related records including annual summary reports detailing the number nature and resolution of complaints.
Remain current on applicable state and federal laws regulations and best practices related to Title IX and discrimination in education.
Maintain professional qualifications through ongoing training and professional development and manage an assigned professional development budget.
Monitor district harassment policies and procedures for continued compliance.
Serve as liaison to state and federal compliance and investigation agencies.
5. Advising the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
Provide ongoing consultation regarding Title IX requirements grievance matters and compliance programs.
Report directly to the Assistant Superintendent when no conflict of interest exists with direct access to the Superintendent when conflicts arise or solicitor involvement is required.
In accordance with district policy request the engagement of qualified external investigators when conflicts of interest exist.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Twelve (12)-month position. Work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Boards policy on the evaluation of professional personnel.
