The Production Control Lead manageswork flowthrough multiple departments based on the master production plan and detailed material planning requirements. Creates production schedules and prioritizes work for multiple departments. Leads the work ofa team of production schedulers.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship
  • Must be available to workon-site daily in Hobart Indiana
  • Must be available to work 2nd shift hours 3:00pm-11:30pm (Some Saturdays will be required as well)
  • Demonstratedproficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions formulas and data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability towork independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Acollaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strongattention to detail problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellentcommunication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.

Pay Rate: $24.00-$28.00/hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops effectivework schedules byprioritizing and issuingproduction work order documentationmonitoring production completionand reporting schedule attainment
  • Leadsa team of production schedulersbyplanningassigning and reviewingwork
  • Workswithproduction managersto ensurework flowacross multiple work centersand skill disciplines
  • Monitors cancellations and changes inassembly part numbersandwork ordersin assignedwork centers;reviewsandperforms corrections as
  • Supportsproduction managerswith production control issuessuch as non-conformanceand material shortages
  • Point of contact forchangingproduction schedulesexpeditingordersand issuing repair work orders
  • Assistswithmetrics collectionand reportingincluding schedule attainmentdelivery and department capacity
  • Assistswith training new Production Control employees
  • Takes part in internal and externaltraining in planning and business techniques

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of production planning or project scheduling experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MRP systems and experience with advance user functionality
  • Strong computer skillsincluding MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task whilemaintainingattention to detail and deadlines
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to read write speak and understand the English language
