Summary:
-
Identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions to ensure compliance with contractual and quality requirements
-
Evaluate and disposition production nonconforming hardware and analyze defect data to identify systemic issues and trends
-
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliant processes and products
-
Capture and implement lessons learned and leverage new technologies to improve quality operations
-
Provide quality tasking inputs to Production QPMs to support labor estimates for ECPs and proposal efforts
-
Participate in hardware change control boards as required
-
Verify systems are fully compliant to requirements and present hardware to customer representatives for acceptance
-
Support and execute quality strategies for advanced manufacturing initiatives including additive manufacturing rapid prototyping and lean manufacturing
Requirements:
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Working knowledge of AS9100
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
-
Familiarity with hardware engineering requirements development design system integration and test
-
Understanding of manufacturing and hardware engineering processes
-
U.S. Citizenship required to support program special access
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Qualifications:
-
2 years of relevant experience and a related 4-year degree
-
Experience supporting DoD contracts
-
Lean or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
-
Knowledge of IPC-610 IPC-620 and J-STD-001 standards
-
Experience interfacing with Government Customer Representatives
-
Experience implementing advanced manufacturing techniques (additive manufacturing rapid prototyping lean manufacturing)
-
Experience with predictive quality methodologies
-
Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) experience
