Job Summary

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst / Applications Analyst
Location: Union NJ (On-site 3 4 days per week)
Contract

Position Summary:

Client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst / Applications Analyst to lead and support initiatives related to the implementation optimization and ongoing support of the Ellucian Colleague ERP with a strong focus on its transition to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis system configuration and cross-platform integrations particularly with cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage projects related to the implementation enhancement and integration of ERP or enterprise systems (e.g. finance housing HR admissions).
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather document and analyze business and technical requirements.
Translate business needs into system functionality through configuration workflow design and limited coding/customization.
Work with APIs and integration tools to ensure seamless data exchange across systems.
Design and support reports and dashboards to meet operational and strategic decision-making needs.
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations workflows data mappings and integrations.
Deliver user training and provide ongoing support for system users and departments.
Stay informed of best practices and trends in ERP systems data integration and higher education technology.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Administration Computer Science or a related field.
Experience implementing or supporting ERP or enterprise systems (e.g. Ellucian Colleague Workday Banner Oracle SAP PeopleSoft etc.).
Knowledge of APIs web services and data integration best practices.
Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g. Cognos Power BI Tableau).
Strong analytical documentation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Hands-on Technical Business Analyst / Applications Analyst with real ERP implementation and support experience (Ellucian Colleague strongly preferred but Banner / Workday / PeopleSoft / Oracle ERP also valid) including configuration integrations and day-to-day system ownership.
Strong requirements-to-solution translator who can work directly with business stakeholders design workflows support APIs/integrations and help move an on-prem ERP environment into the cloud.
Someone comfortable being on-site 3 4 days/week in a higher-ed environment supporting reporting documentation training and ongoing application support - not a pure PM or functional-only BA.
